Review of TYE TRIBBETT at the TLA in Philadelphia, PA on Tuesday 7/1/14

What a wonderful night to sing worship songs to the Lord....after the 2 opening acts performed, it was time for Tye Tribbett & Co. to start the show around 8:15pm.

The show started with the music of "Rocky", before Tye & Co. jumped in the energetic, spiritual warfare cry of "I Want It All Back". Tye kept the warfare cry going with "Stand Out". All the saints were enjoying this stuff. Then it was time for worship - calling for the songs "Nobody", the techno/club sound of "You Are Everything", the slow-tempoed "You're Everything to Me" and the slow-tempoed "The Worship Medley". On "The Worship Medley", the singers must have climbed at least 7 keys from the original key...I tried it and nearly killed myself (LOL)!

"Replace Me" was next and it was done mostly in acoustic form (personally, I would rather hear the "rock" version off the "FRESH" CD but it was wonderful). The audience was singing along with Tye to "You Are Good" which included a piece of "Good" (from the "FRESH" CD). Then Tye reminded us to keep our minds stayed on Jesus with "Stayed on You", which included the hyper-praise of "Amazing".

Someone in the audience kept bugging Tye about doing a particular song...so he did it...every fan got down low and began to rock back and forth with Tye for "No Way (I Can Make It Without You)". One of the backing singers took center stage and sang co-lead vocals for "Bless The Lord (Son of Man)". That segued into "Champion" (which featured a little bit of Queen's "We Are The Champions").

Tye began to preach on the story of Peter (in the gospels). Jesus asked Peter to go out and catch some fish. However, Peter insisted that there is no fish out in the water....he and the fishermen cast nets all night but caught no fish. But Peter decided to cast a net--very shortly, the net was overflowing with fish, so much that the net was about to break. Other men helped Peter with another boat, but both boats began to sink with the LARGE multitude of fish.

The moral of the story is that God can bless you abundantly--SO ABUNDANTLY that it will be overflowing (you will have no room for all the blessings). So the key word for this night was "FISHES".

Tye & Co. began to praise the Lord for the turnaround in "He Turned It" and finished with "If He Did It Before, He Can Do It Again...Same God".

But wait, there was an encore performance of "Victory". All the fans danced and praised the Lord!!

The service was over around 9:45pm.

SPECIAL MESSAGE TO NON-BELIEVERS
************************************************

HOW TO GO TO HEAVEN?

If you had died the minute you started to read this invitation, would you have the assurance that you would go to heaven?

The Bible says there are 4 things a person must do to go to heaven:

1. REALIZE YOU ARE A SINNER. The Bible says "All have sinned, all fall short of God's glorious standard" (Romans 2:23 NLT)

2. RECOGNIZE JESUS CHRIST DIED ON THE CROSS FOR YOU. The Bible tells us that "God showed his great love for us
by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners". (Romans 5:8 NLT)

3. REPENT OF YOUR SIN. The Bible says, "Now turn from your sins and turn to God, so you can be cleansed of your sins". (Acts 3:19 NLT)

4. RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST INTO YOUR LIFE. The Bible tells us, "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved". (Romans 10:13 NLT)

Receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior is the next step in your spiritual journey. IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE THIS YET, WHY NOT TAKE A MOMENT
RIGHT NOW AND MAKE THAT COMMITMENT?

Remember, TOMORROW is ***NOT*** guaranteed!!
